Overview

A curated catalogue of techno-economic cost and performance assumptions for energy system technologies, drawn from the open-source PyPSA technology-data project. It harmonises figures from sources such as the Danish Energy Agency technology catalogue into standardised technologies, units, cost years and source references.

The catalogue spans 2020 to 2050 in five-year steps (costs_2020.csvcosts_2050.csv), covering generation, storage, conversion and network technologies.

What's included

For each technology and projection year, the tables provide parameters such as:

  • Investment (overnight capital cost) and fixed/variable O&M
  • Efficiency and lifetime
  • Fuel costs and CO₂ intensity where applicable
  • Unit and source reference for every value

Use cases

  • Cost inputs for capacity-expansion and investment-planning models.
  • Consistent, versioned assumptions for decarbonisation-pathway and scenario studies.
  • A transparent, citable baseline with per-value provenance.
